To create this piece, I 3D scanned my arm, and then divided it into squares which I extruded into twisted cubes. I designed a 3D tile and applied it on each cube with Grasshopper. The result is a chain of octahedrons and cubes that follow the organic geometry of a human arm. This piece takes advantage of the ability of 3D printing to fabricate interlinked geometries that would be very hard to realize in any other technique. I am excited about further exploring the possibilities of this medium.
