I had the pleasure of leading industrial design from concept to launch on one of Dell's most complex and versatile products. Modernizing Dell's commercial design language was at the heart of this effort, with a focus on simplifying the form and experience, while elevating craft and use of premium materials. We introduced a stamped Aluminum chassis into the mainstream commercial tier - a first for Dell.
All details were revisited from the inside out to reduce visual clutter and create a modernized look with broad appeal. I worked closely with an amazing team of marketing experts, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing partners in Asia to maintain design intent while balancing cost constraints, manufacturing limitations and durability requirements.
