The Nine was the 2016 California College of the Arts MFA in Design thesis show. The show was designed to showcase the heterogeneous work of nine graduating designers, while creating a consistent experience that represents our diverse group.
We created a framework by using the 9 figure divided into nine fragments. We worked with these elements to create the various 2D, 3D and interactive assets for the show. Our goal was to create a cohesive identity while utilizing the unique possibilities of each medium to bring the nine to life in compelling ways.
I designed the furniture and space layout, and lead the build team. I worked with the branding and interaction teams to maintain the design language across the different mediums. I also worked with each designer to present his/her work in the best possible way while fitting in the overall exhibition flow.
